Living room window size

Typically, residential windowsills are approximately 90cm high after installation, with windows ranging from 145cm to 155cm. Living room window sizes vary, and floor-to-ceiling windows vary significantly. The sill of a floor-to-ceiling window is generally around 20cm above the ground, with the width varying depending on the specific situation.

Bedroom and living room windows are generally designed as casement or sliding windows. Considering floor safety considerations, the window opening width is generally around 600mm, no wider than 700mm and no wider than 500mm. Casement windows offer the advantage of increased safety, as their hinges and hardware are fixed around the window perimeter, allowing for greater load-bearing capacity.

Dimensions of bedroom doors and Windows

Conventional bedroom doors and Windows are mainly divided into two categories: sliding Windows and casement Windows. For the master bedroom, the window size is generally between 1.5 and 1.8 meters and 1.8×2.1 meters.

For bedrooms that are relatively small, the size of the Windows needs to be reduced accordingly. It is best to control the size between 1.2×1.5 meters and 1.5×1.8 meters, with the window width starting from 0.6M. Only in this way can it be more harmonious.

Dimensions of kitchen doors and Windows

Kitchens generally require bright lighting and good ventilation, so larger kitchen windows are recommended. Typical sizes include 1200*1500, 1500*1800, and 1800*2400 mm.

These three sizes are common and aren't mandatory for renovations. The specific size should be determined based on the kitchen's area.

Kitchen doors and windows generally include sliding doors, hanging rail doors, swing doors, etc. Nowadays, many families choose hanging sliding doors because they do not need to form tracks on the ground and are very convenient to enter and exit, open and close.

Because hanging rail doors can only be pushed open halfway, pay attention to the door width. 1.6m-1.8m is usually the best, and the door opening should be less than 1.5m wide. This size will basically not restrict the entry and exit of large items such as refrigerators, and it is also more convenient for people with larger statures to enter and exit the kitchen. If you want more space when the kitchen door opens, you can choose a folding door or a three-track sliding door. When closed, it blocks out smoke and fumes, and when open, it maximizes the space for convenient entry and exit.

Many people have experienced this: when a sliding door is too tall and wide, there's a noticeable wobbling sensation when opening and closing it, making it feel unstable.

For this reason, sliding doors shouldn't be too wide or too high (typically between 2m and 2.4m), otherwise they'll easily feel wobbly. Double covers are generally recommended over single covers, as they can cover both sides simultaneously, creating a more aesthetically pleasing and classy look.
